Uh, we'll shift to the Big Apple, where Jason Dominguez actually, uh, as we're recording Thursday evening, on Thursday afternoon, uh, hit the wall hard in left field, suffered what appeared to be a concussion.

Looks like he'll head to the IL, uh, which is bad news for Yankees fans.

But good news for Yankees fans is that, uh, Spencer Jones is getting the call in New York.

Yeah, number one prospect, uh, for a lot of folks, uh, from time to time.

Uh, you know, at one point, I think his star was a lot brighter.

Uh, you know, at, at one time, he was their top prospect.

I think now he's probably somewhere between, like, 6 and 10 for a lot of people.

But you know, Spencer Jones is, is a very classic case of he's got a boatload of power.

I mean, this dude hit 35 home runs in the minors last year in 116 games, and he even stole 29 bases, and he swings and miss, uh, misses a ton.

So his strikeout rate in Triple-A last season was 36.6%.

His Triple-A strikeout rate this season is 32.4%, which is cool that that's an improvement.

But that kind of strikeout rate, like a 32% strikeout rate in the majors usually translates to, like, 35 and up.

So it's really, really hard to see a path to success or at least any kind of consistency for Spencer Jones just because there's so much swing and miss here.

Uh, his, like, his zone...

Like, just to put this in perspective, his zone contact rate in Triple-A this season is 71.1%.

In the majors, I really don't like it when a guy's below 80.

This guy's zone contact rate in the minors is far worse than any player in the majors currently this season.

So there's, there's a lot to be worried about there.

And it's not as though he's extremely patient either.

Um, he chases a bit.

He swings quite a lot.

I mean, his hard hit rate is 58.7% in the minors right now.

I wouldn't be shocked if he comes up and just, like, blisters a ball, like, 115 miles an hour on the very first day, uh, and then also strike out in his three other plate appearances, right? Like, that's, that's how this is gonna be.
