S6E23 The Blessing of Faith

Let's talk about the blessing of faith then this morning.

The first thing I want to share with you this morning is this.

Faith gives us understanding.

Faith gives us understanding.

Look what it says in verse 3.

Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God.

Our Lord asks the question in Matthew 15, 17, do not ye yet understand? And he's asking the question, do you not get it? Do you not fully understand? Are you not grasping this? Because sometimes we struggle to understand.

We cannot make sense of our trials.

We cannot make sense of our life.

We cannot figure out what God is doing in our lives.

We don't understand.

The word understand means to exercise the mind to think, to consider.

And faith gives us a completely different perspective on life.

Do you know why it gives us a completely different perspective on life? Because faith gives us God's perspective.

It helps us see things from His perspective.

By faith we believe that God spoke all things into existence.

Isn't that what verse 3 is saying? Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God.

God spoke and he said, let there be peace.

Light, and there was light.

Let there be, and he kept saying, let there be, and these things happened.

We believe that by faith.

There's a lot of people out there who don't believe that.

You walk outside the door and you ask people, do you believe that God spoke everything into existence? Some will say, well, maybe, and others will say, absolutely not.

And some will look at you and say, no, I believe in science.

Can I say something about science? You are an irrational person if you don't believe in science.
