Your voice is more powerful than you think. What if the key to influence isn't convincing people, but helping them discover the answer themselves? Rachelli Fried — featuring Rebbetzin Tamar Tabak…
Tamar TabakGuestRachelli FriedHostSo today, we are going to discuss Pasuk Peh, and we're gonna jump right back in.
What is toras chesed? What's the difference betweenpeh, which is a mouth, and a lashon, which is a tongue? What does it teach us? What does pi hasycha mean, opening up her mouth with chochma? What's the difference between chochma and toras chesed? So really, whenever I hear this pasuk, which, you know, is every Friday night, but whenever I hear it, I think of the Maamar Chazal that is actually found in Kidushin that says, "Asar kavon sicha yardu la'olam, tisha natlu nashim v'echad kol ha'olam kulo," which means, "10 measurements of language were brought down into this world.
Women got nine out of 10 of them." Meaning, we got nine out of 10 of the speaking, talking measurements, and I am sure that many husbands could attest to this, and many of us could also attest to this.
[chuckles] I definitely can attest that we have nine out of 10 of these measurements, and it's just interesting to me.
This Maamar Chazal, to me, firstly, just teaches us, like, these are the facts.
The fact is that we have this, that we have nine out of 10 of these measurements.
You know, obviously, we're gonna discuss what it is, what this means, this nine out of 10, these measurements.
We know we need to use it carefully and how it can break and how it can build.
What does this mean that, that this is something that we have? What does pi hasycha b'chochma mean? What does the Eshet Chayil do with her peh and her lashon? How does she take her individual measurement of her sicha within herself and maximize it? So I want to delve deeper into this topic, and honestly, selfishly, because I think it will give me more meaning to my words and more perspective to the importance of this koach that women have.
