Bobby SkinnerHostFootball GrumpHostFirst question comes from G-Men Crew: "Do you believe Denard Wilson will adjust game to game, or from now on build on from the cards second half plan, especially with no burns and 0% pressure from Kavon? Will we see our defense blitz at a higher clip more consistently?"

This is a great question, um, because it's not just, "Hey, is he good?" And I think the answer's a little bit of both.

I think it's a little bit of both, 'cause in this game they played man coverage 67% of the time.

I mean, I've watched Shane Bowen lead the league in man coverage, I've watched Wink Martindale.

Uh, usually it's mixed in with, like, half of cover three, which has man principles, but plays zone coverage.

So this game was very different, even though, you know, I chart every week, this, we were kind of ramping up towards this with Denard Wilson, where it was getting a little bit more and more different each week.

Number one, because Denard Wilson's a good defensive coordinator, so there will be week-to-week changes.

There will be week-to-week changes, and it's not sustainable to do what they did in this game.

Uh, but- I think they learned some valuable lessons in this game of things that they do need to continue to go through.

Uh, I think that they learned, like, you know what? We can't go as crazy as this game, but we need to play more like this on a consistent basis.
Yeah, I, I, I think, I think you're nailing it right there with, uh, w- with what you're saying.
It's completely unsustainable to play exactly the way that they did, but also, I think that's just, like, an evergreen statement.
Like, even if they weren't playing man coverage at a 67% clip, I think generally speaking, if you go into each week with the same game plan, I mean, unless you have a Super Bowl roster, like, you have to adjust week to week for it.
