Arvell Reese

He was the road grader of the college draft.

I'm like, "Guys, if Arvell Reese is as good as we think, they got nine or 10, like, special players." So you tell me as a former Giant- Tell me about the camp.

I, I'm watching Abdul Carter.

His underlying metrics weren't nearly as promising, but that playing time of up over 80% of snaps was good enough to keep him in lineups, even in a tougher match up.

At linebacker, both Tremaine Edmunds and Arvell Reese played every down rolls.

Reese only spent 19% of his snaps on the edge, and he blitzed on just 12% of his pass and downs, which is more encouraging for his production floor to be a bit higher than if he was getting used a ton in those spots, which was always a possibility after he was drafted.

So I have E- Edmunds as an LB two, Reese as an LB three right now.

When he came in late in the game, you could tell he was a little bit nervous there.

But other than Arvell Reese getting caught out of position on that one thing, I thought the defense, for the most part, didn't give up the big play, didn't give up anything stupid, made Dallas work for it.

A couple things.

So someone posted earlier, I think it was Steven, asked me if I'm ready for my apology to Deontay Banks.

Yeah, and then the last thing on the defensive side, I was a little surprised that I didn't see McFadden get in there at all.

I know, obviously, it's such a strike now with Edmonds and Reese, but I'm wondering if there's any way to get all three of those guys on the field at the same time.

And also maybe, you know, give our Darius Washington some snaps.

I know, you know, some of those calls against Phillips were not, you know, I didn't really agree with them.

As far as, you know, getting a Darius Washington a little bit of burn in that secondary, listen, Darius, Phillips, I would say the one in the end zone was probably the most disputable, but you've got to also remember that CeeDee Lamb, I think, drew the most pass interference calls of any receiver in the NFL a year ago for the Dallas Cowboys, and that's across the National Football League.

And as Sean mentioned it, week one, things are going to be called a little bit tighter.

How about Micah McFadden? It's difficult when you're looking at Arvel Reese and you're looking at Tremaine Edmonds.

I mean, between Arvell Reese, Edmonds, and I forgot the other guy they got.

But all those guys are like 6'4", 6'5".

I think that it's pretty clear right now watching him, like that's a difference maker, man.

Like if you could imagine Rasheem Biles and Riley Pettijohn as the linebackers at Ohio State this year, I think that when we talk about losing Sonny and Arvell, a couple of first-rounders, you could potentially be talking about the same deal, replacing them with first-rounders if you had Rasheem Biles and Riley Pettijohn.

Nonetheless, Ohio State thought that they had their top-notch starting middle linebacker, right? That's what they thought.

And that's Peyton Pierce.

and he's coming in there in his rookie year, setting the tone early in the year.

I think Arvell really had a nice game as well.

Not any big highlight plays like that, but I saw a couple things on him.

Just played a lot.
