Gayle Benson criticizes Saints after 1-4 start - Was she right?

Well, let's get into it, shall we? First things first, Mrs.

Benson, call it a boss lady.

The lady, she's at the top of the totem pole of the New Orleans Saints.

She's not nearly as checked out as some of y'all think.

She's not nearly as...

Detached some of y'all think and just when you think she is quote-unquote checked out or not paying attention.

Boom.

She drops the hammer in a very polite, but a very direct way possible.

It's easy to look at Mrs. Benson.

listen to her talk, and I think for some people also it's look at her journey to the top spot and think she's kind of this kind, nice, southern sweetheart type, just let her guys run the show.

She is those things, but, and this is a big but, I alluded to it earlier, every now and then, this is what I like about her, She steps in and she reminds you she is the one actually in charge.

And Tuesday was one of those times.

Let's get into it, Andre.

This was not a press conference where she had to respond to a question about the coaches and the GM's future, and she was forced to frame her answer in a way that could be broken down into maybe something she wouldn't have meant or maybe misinterpreted.

Oh, no, no, no, no.

This was the quarterback club.

She came in with a planned and prepared speech and statement.

If you watched her, she was going through it within pages.

It was like eight or nine pages.

Covered a lot of ground, at least the video I saw.

And, again, this is Crescent City Sports, Ken Trahan.

That's the video.

We're not going to play the video, but that's where all of this came from, just to give them their credit and give them their due.

She covered a lot of ground in a relatively short period of time.

You mentioned it.
