Season Slipping Away: Toronto Blue Jays vs Texas Rangers Game 155 Preview | Flight Deck

So last night, You go into last night, Jays are a couple of games back of the wild card.

Cleveland's now got this top spot in the AL Central and the White Sox, they're in that third spot in the wild card.

And everything is looking not so great for the Blue Jays because you're running out of runway to get this thing back onto the rails.

And yet...

there is still a morsel of hope going into last night's game.

Blue Jays decided to have Dylan C's pitch on regular rest despite his drop in velocity.

And yeah, you could see like our collective reaction last night was that of Brett Bateman as the Blue Jays lost 7-1 to the Texas Rangers.

Brett Bateman had the look on his face of, It's over.

It's over, ladies and gentlemen.

And that's exactly how it felt.

But when we look at last night's game, we all wondered what's Dylan Cease going to look like.

I'm on off the roster at 10 a.m. every day, off the roster TNN with the Nation Network here on YouTube, 10 a.m. Monday through Friday.

And we've talked a lot about the ailments of the Blue Jays.

And one of the I guess beacons of hope for the blue Jays this season has been Dylan sees.

And even that is now being taken away from you because as the season's gone on, as the innings have ticked up, as they've relied on him so heavily to go out there every fifth day, giving them a chance to win with a putrid offense, Dylan sees his game has now started to fall off as well.

And it happened in these last couple of starts.

We saw it against the athletics.

Velo is down, starting to lose his control.

Happened again in his last start against the Baltimore Orioles, but he still managed somehow, some way to get through five innings of one run ball.

And in all of that, you kind of felt, okay, this guy's hanging on.

He's still giving the Jays a chance to win pretty much every time out.

And then there was last night.

And last night, you see this chart here.

I mean, the chart kind of tells you everything you need to know.

All right.
