Yeah, so does God still speak through dreams? Let's go.

And this is a question that came up from Daniel chapter 2 when Nebuchadnezzar had a dream.

We're dealing with that same thing in Daniel chapter 4.

Nebuchadnezzar has another dream.

This time he remembers it.

So short answer is yes, God still speaks through dreams.

We see that through the Bible as a way by which God would communicate with an individual.

Most notably in the New Testament, Joseph.

It

seems like every time Joseph took a nap, God gave him some instructions.

And so— That's some heavy sleeping.

Yeah.

And, you know, Joseph is an interesting case study.

If you look at the character of Joseph in the New Testament, he never says a word.

A word from Joseph is never recorded in the New Testament.

But he's always listening to God.

He's very intentional about that.

So, yes, God can still speak through dreams.

I think there's a couple of criterias that you need to look at very carefully.

Sometimes dreams are just dreams.

But if you ever wake up and you sense a dream had a particular weight to it, gravity to it, I think you ought to pay attention to that.

It needs to line up with scripture.

God will never reveal anything to you personally that he has not revealed through the writing of scripture.

And I would also say, especially with dreams, because the mind is such a fascinating and often misleading thing.

It is good to always measure that with other people who you know are walking with the Lord.
