The Pegasus had that admiral, badmoral, got to use the lexicon, you know, showed up to recover the Pegasus, you know, where Riker was there as a young officer and, you know, and...

But Riker, in that episode, he comes clean at the end to his own detriment.

He deliberately exposes the existence of the cloaking device they're not supposed to have.

That's the closest that when I thought back about episodes that I could think of.

But Ahura measured herself even after all of these great things that she was able to do.

She measured herself by whether or not a Shah stays or not.

right uh and then of course of course pike recognizes everything and then and and says to her you know gives that speech to her at the end which i thought was very reminiscent of what captain picard says in the i think second season next gen episode peak performance You remember that one where Data is his first officer and Riker is on the other ship and they're doing the combat simulations with each other? It's where Picard says, it is possible to commit no mistakes and still lose.

So after that interaction, they show Wesley coming in and he goes over to take a seat.

And when I first was watching it, I swore Wesley did the Riker maneuver.

And I rewound twice.

I rewound that port or replayed or whatever we say was streaming.

They hadn't taken any real risks in certain ways.

And the way that they had constructed the episode so that the reveal in the cold open was This is going to be a spoiler, OK, guys? Riker says freeze program.

And then everybody freezes.

And he comes back on.

I forget how he's revealed.

But I just remember thinking, that is so incredible that they pulled that off.

What is that, 2005 or so? So, I was in college at the time and not watching a whole lot of TV, so I didn't watch Enterprise regularly, but I can just imagine for those who did, who missed TNG, who missed The Next Generation, who missed the Galaxy class, that moment when Riker and Troy walk into Ten Forward in an episode of Enterprise, I think was executed really well and really hit the nostalgia button, at least could have done.

Now, that being said, it's not a good finale.
