Why Savannah Guthrie Offered Forgiveness To Nancy's Kidnapper

Anger didn't work. Reward money didn't work. The biggest law enforcement mobilization in the country didn't work. So on July 27th, Savannah Guthrie tried the one thing she had left. She recorded a video, addressed it directly to whoever took her mother, and offered something that nobody in this family has offered before. Not a deal. Not a demand. Something harder than both. The video arrived the same week the first ransom note was read publicly for the first time — on Crime Junkie, with details about the inside of Nancy's house that reportedly hadn't been released. It arrived days after the FBI director accused the Pima County Sheriff of costing the investigation critical evidence, and the sheriff's office responded by redirecting all ransom questions to the FBI. This episode walks through every word of Savannah's plea, what it tells you about what this family believes happened to Nancy, and the institutional failure that left a daughter with no option except a camera and a prayer that someone's conscience still works. **END LINKS:** Join Our SubStack For AD-FREE ADVANCE EPISODES & EXTRAS!: https://hiddenkillers.substack.com/ Want to comment and watch this podcast as a video?
