JJ McCarthy Time Week 6 Instant Reaction

The final London game of the year, and it was a good one.

Houston with a 34-21 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars, who, let's be honest, are kind of a scam.

I mean, they were, you know, like...

the hottest team in football a few weeks ago, and the Texans were dead at 0-4.

Now the Texans have won two straight, and they look like they're going to rip back through their division.

Let's start with those Texans.

Skid Marks, our favorite little running back here, gets the start.

15 carries for 56 yards on the ground.

You had him on the stank squad on Sirius XM.

I mean, listen, we couldn't have expected too much against this vaunted Jags D, but we were hoping he would fall into the end zone.

And he almost had a receiving touchdown in this game.

But I think better days are ahead for Woody Marks.

Yeah, he got 19 touches.

That was kind of my point with putting him on the squad.

Like, yeah, I know you're maybe a little excited about it.

Actually, it was 17.

But, you know, despite the fact that he's going to get 15 to 20 touches...

This is a tough spot, but he does go over 40 yards, catches a couple of balls, nothing special.

Of course, Jahar Jordan, the rookie who's got a lot more speed, he runs it in for that 25-yard touchdown.

So he does chip away.

But to me, the story of the game, and when we did the Friday preview pod, we highlighted Jalen Noel.

We've been talking up Jalen Noel since last year.

just screaming at the TV, like, why don't you throw this guy the ball more? Well, they didn't really ramp it up this week, but he caught all four targets.

And at this point, Jalen Noel at this point, I think is, is too good to keep off the field.

So two, three weeks ago when they, well, even a week ago when they made the trade, I'm like, all right, can we just settle? on Marvin Harrison, Nico Collins, and Jalen Noel in the slot.
