In this episode of the Energy Newsbeat podcast, host Stu Turley sits down with David Blackmon (Forbes contributor and Energy Impacts podcast host) and Mike Umbro (energy innovator and founder of…
And then, uh, one of the ones, one of the main concerns that they did come up with was, uh, desalinization as well as-
... with those kind of temperatures, as Aslan, uh, Aslan, uh, pilot car says, 700 degree Fahren- you know, you're gonna have scale, you're gonna have- Uh, these kind of things in there.
And I also asked my GrokBot team, um, uh, application for geothermal Hawaii, I, I didn't ask it specifically, but it did say that this thing could be transported around the world, so.
Yeah, we look at it, you know, the reason we do it in the oil reservoir is because you have containment.
So oil's been trapped there over geologic time, which tells you you can store the heat.
... by way, [laughs] by which the heat will not escape from due to faulting and geologic, geologic factors in the subsurface.
Um, in terms of scaling, that's one of the main drivers why we're keeping everything in the liquid phase.
So if you're talking about flashing steam in a wellbore, you're gonna have scaling in your wellbore in a traditional geothermal, hydrothermal geothermal process.
Uh, what we're doing is keeping everything in solution in the liquid phase, and we, we anticipate scaling at the heat exchangers at the surface equipment.
