Freedom In Christ

I have two boys, some of you may know.

They're aged 16 and 13.

But when they were aged about six and nine, the movie Wonder Woman came out.

And Steve took the boys to watch Wonder Woman.

They love the Marvel series.

So he took them to the movies.

I took the opportunity as an only female living in a house of boys to stay home from the boy movie.

And I stayed home and relaxed while they went to the movies.

They came home and as soon as the boys got home, they raced into our bedroom and launched themselves onto the bed where I was relaxing, sat on top of me and they just stared at me.

quite intently.

They just were looking at me and examining me.

And I was like, so how was the movie? And they just kept staring, just keep looking.

And I was like, what? And they said to me, mum, are you Wonder Woman? I mean.

Thank you.

Thank you, Alison.

I see that nod.

I paused for a moment.

And I knew I had a choice to make right there and then.

I could immediately put them right.

I could correct their thinking.

I could tell them the truth.

Or I could deceive them.

I could say something that would have them continue to believe that I am Wonder Woman.

I took a moment.

I kept looking back at them.
