When We Pray | NEAR | Part 1 with Nick Bothe

I'm excited.

How can we be near to God? How can we walk the divine call for our lives? How can we live close to the heart of the Father? If we want to get close to God, I would say, and this is where my topic is going to be leaning this morning, then I would say we need to get on board with one main thing that Jesus got on board with.

And it's this thing called prayer.

Someone say prayer.

Prayer.

Prayer.

Say it like you mean it.

Prayer.

There we go.

Prayer.

The reality is in the Western church, I believe anyway, you can quote this at Nick Both when you put it on Twitter, but this is my belief system that we don't have a preaching problem.

We don't have a content problem.

We've got all the content in the world.

We don't have a worship problem.

How powerful was worship before? Can we just give it up for our band? Turn your eyes on Jesus.

I'm just like straight in the throne room of God.

Just like, come on.

powerful i don't know if we have a worship problem in the church you know what i believe we have a problem in a prayer problem we have a prayer problem see just look at the vision that jesus has for his house and for his church in matthew 21 13 it says this it is written he said to them my house someone say my house my house jesus is calling his house will be called what a house of prayer notice that jesus didn't say a house of leadership house of preaching, a house of this or a house of that.

They're all incredible things.

We don't just throw everything out.

But he said, I want my house to be known by one thing, that it would be a house of prayer.

And here's the deal, church.

We must not major on the minors that Jesus taught us to do.

And in turn, we start minoring on the majors.

Prayer has and will always be one of the majors for the follower of Christ and for God's church.
