And you've mentioned that, you know, as someone who's had long-term conditions, how do you think engagement, what does it look like engaging from the other side of the table?

absolutely it has changed the way that I think about engagement for me it's made me realize that when we talk about engaging from the other side of the table of someone living with a long-term condition I don't want someone to just come and extract from me which is what a lot of engagement feels like people can't they extract your lived experience, your expertise, whatever.

You feel like you're being used and then just put in the bin once they've got what they want, which is why I always stress around always, Whenever we do engagement, patient and public involvement, it's all about building relationships with people because these are people that we're talking about.

are complex and people have got feelings and people have had traumatic experience and also very good experiences.

Got so many things going on in their lives, which is why that building relationship is really, really important.
