Konnor, Mack, and Ryan recap their pre-release weekend experiences. Tune in to hear about Konnor's experience with pre-release weekend at Disney World as well as Ryan and Mack's experience at local…
Yeah, you bring up a couple questions here.
For those of us, obviously, you're the only one out of the Ducktale Dads that experienced kind of the live chaos on an opening day at a Disney park, which is kind of crazy.
Is it as hyped as it looks? And do you think this is a long-term investment that Ravensburger should continue to make? Maybe obviously because we've noticed over the last couple sets that they want to put an emphasis on the collectors with, you know, Into the Ink Dark, just one set away with these collectors coming.
boosters right so like do you feel that was there an additional energy there and then once you answer that i'll get back to my second question
in one they are incredible they're gorgeous absolutely gorgeous i would love for them to continue this with like each movie each like have a specific collector set specific enchanted or at least the artwork within it it was getting just gorgeous i was a little bit put off by the the sheer amount of boxes of them that they kept rolling out it almost looked like they had more collector sets than like like play mats.
And that was weird.
It just seemed like they have a lot of them.
So I don't know if they're like fine tuning their, their process for how much product they do print.
But I think that's, it's a great idea.
I would love for them to continue.
Awesome.
Yeah.
I mean, from an outside perspective, and I guess now for us, like a way zoomed out, not you it's they, they, they look great now kind of to the, casual it's weird calling myself a casual collector now based on how I got into this game like I don't know if I'll ever be interested in getting a collector's bundle right unless it happens to be a good deal but maybe from a different audience like these seem really cool and something that I hope they continue especially with the linkages and themes this one being Beauty the Beast I am totally blanking out on when the first one was but like maybe keeping up those franchises um in the near future um seems like a fun idea to continue moving forward but my second question was um you mentioned like the booster boxes and troves selling out almost instantly um we've talked a lot about probably over the last year how like fabled there was kind of like low energy into lorikana but then as whispers and then winter spell you know and then um wilds unknown and what have you like you started to feel this ramp up in excitement to where I feel like we're at a really good spot in the game.
Did just the sheer volume of people that were there, did it give you a new perspective on the true excitement in the game that maybe in a different location? You were at a Disney park as opposed to what we feel just locally.
There was a tremendous amount of people.
I, and again, I was only there for a brief period of time.
And I'm like, I still felt like a tremendous amount of people because they did it well to be able to spread it out over the course of five, six, seven hours to let, like to lower the lines.
And there was still a line of maybe like 80 to a hundred people.
And so like, it, it still felt like there was a ton going on.
Now, the only disappointing part is that, I mean, again, the beauty and the beast collector set on a secondary market is like $190 on TCG.
I just kind of looked it up.
And so I do know that there are people there who are buying it to then immediately sell.
There are people who are trying to buy your collector sets after you bought your collector sets.
