How would you describe getting into the scene? Because you said you first started off being like B-boy and then you got graffiti.
So the middle school I went to was very multicultural, I'll say.
And we had a lot of Mexican cats, a lot of Asian cats.
And the Asian cats were always into B-boying.
It was just something they would do like every couple of months.
They would do like these after school dances and shit.
Oh, yeah.
And we would go just to go watch the B-Boys and shit.
So it was something I was always into.
The summer, I remember the summer of going into seventh grade, like me and a couple homies in the neighborhood decided, you know, we were going to get fucking cardboard boxes.
Sick.
We were just going to start rocking and trying to learn.
And like, you know, I learned up rocks, windmills, like I had some shit going, but I just, I never had like the real like core strength and like center balance to really be a good B-boy.
Like I watched the kids that I was fucking with and we were learning with.
Just slowly getting better than I was, even though we were all practicing together and breaking together.
So I kind of realized breaking wasn't for me.
Seventh grade, I met my man Foreigner.
And he had an older brother, fucking Jaws, man.
God rest his soul, man.
Like, Foreigner had that older brother, so he had kind of that older, more experienced hip-hop influence.
So when I met him, like, I really got keyed into that.
