So here's the paradox.

I'm going to spend this episode telling men that you need to lead.

You need to be the leader in your relationship.

You need to be the leader in your life.

You need to take charge.

You need to have a position.

You need to know who you are, what you stand for, what you want.

You need to hold the ground.

You need to go first.

And in the same breath, I'm going to tell you that you control almost nothing.

You don't control her.

You don't control yourself.

You don't control the outcome.

Both of these things are true at the same time.

And holding both of them is a skill that will allow you to be not just the best leader that you can be, but it'll actually allow you to lead for real instead of playing this game of trying to force things.

The men who can't hold both of these things, they, they do, they kind of fall apart into one of three different failures.

All three of them come from the same place.
