Do You Feel That? | A Couples Intimacy & Sex Podcast
Jun 2, 2026 · 55 min · 14 segments
Why do you feel anxious after really good sex? Why does your partner pull away right when things get close? Why does a dry spell feel like evidence that the relationship is falling apart — even when…
All right.
So we've done the love languages in bed, and we also covered the Enneagram in bed, and both of those resonated in such a big way.
So we're gonna keep this series going, and this week we're gonna tackle attachment styles and what they're doing to your sex life.
So this is gonna be a real good one.
This one might actually be the most personal revealing one of the three, because attachment theory doesn't just describe a preference or a personality trait.
It really describes your nervous system's built-in blueprint for closeness, and that blueprint is running in the background of every single intimate moment you have with your partner.
It's one of those things, like, where sometimes you notice your physical intimacy is great, but your emotional intimacy feels off.
If you've ever had that or you're having that now, attachment theory may be the reason behind it.
Yeah.
So we're gonna be covering all four attachment styles.
This includes secure, anxious, or in other words, ambivalent, avoidant, and disorganized.
So we're gonna go through them in detail, and we're gonna do this on the other side.
[upbeat music] Hello, and welcome.

Our hope is you will walk away with inspiration to listen deeper, love harder, and enjoy your partner in new ways.
