Falcons vs Bucs Week 8 postgame show: Penix crumbles in embarrassing loss

fellow falcoholics what is up welcome to the falcoholic lives falcons verse bucks week eight post game show presented now the new presenting sponsor starting this month it's cal she's thanks to cal she for hopping on the the falcoholic live bandwagon i'm sorry there wasn't a better game for the initial announcement but we appreciate you guys uh tuning in with us here because uh What an ugly game that was.

It was a wet, sloppy mess in pretty much all facets except the defense.

I know I see people saying, like, oh, the defense...

No, I'm not allowing any defensive slander today.

I thought the defense did everything they possibly could to keep this within the realm of possibility until the very end of the game, essentially.

And at that point, like, they knew they were getting shut out.

So I don't really even blame them for that last drive at all.

But...

Really bad, no good day offensively.

And I know some people are talking about the rain and the Falcons didn't look prepared for it.

Yeah, I mean, it doesn't look like they really took the possibility of a torrential rainstorm seriously.

I know there was buzz that it might rain, but this was beyond what was projected.

So I think they did get caught a little bit unawares.

And we know that this was... you know, a career-worst game for Michael Penix Jr.

And one of the worst quarterback games you'll ever see, you know, beyond the turnovers, just sailing throws left and right, didn't ever look comfortable and didn't ever improve.

I mean, he hit one pass, but even that one was...

I mean, you know, that was also dangerous.

He had to leap up for it.

Not saying that was a bad pass.

Like, that was probably the one good one all day.

But Penix had opportunities to just...

Shrug it off and get back into this one, and he never did.

I think before we dive into Penix's problems, because I think the biggest thing in this one is Penix.

Penix had one of the worst quarterback games you'll ever see in the NFL, and that obviously creates a lot of uncomfortable and unfortunate conversations, but...

I think everything combined in this one to make it a miserable day for him and his style of play.
