Well, J.D. Bertrand, compared to Braylon Trice, might as well be the roadrunner.

But Jeff, with all due respect, can we get Kendall Daniels, Harold Perkins, Divine Diablo? That's the three linebackers on the field at the same time.

You know, again, this is why you have Christian Harris.

So I feel like you have better options than Braylon tries acting as that third linebacker.

But our last two points are not about the defense.

They're special teams nitpicks.

Why is Divine Diablo covering punts instead of Harold Perkins? Please, I hope someone who's going to be at Craig Ackerman's presser later this week, please ask him that question.

And then also asking the question, why isn't Zachariah Branch out there for every single kickoff return? Right.

yet 'cause like that team is still kinda messy in the Harold Perkins situation, like they're playing out.

Like, there's so many like weapons that are solid, like I don't know.

I do think Boston could be the red zone threat.

So I like what I saw from him.

And then, you know, even Harold Perkins getting it, getting it, mixing it up a little bit as well.

But I really like what I saw

from Brandon Dorless because

Daniels is interesting too with Divine Diablo.

They're the starting inside linebackers on this defense with Harold Perkins, a rookie in reserve.

So I don't know, there's a lot of change in Atlanta.

I don't always like to be bullish because you know how this ends up being when we are with these type of games and some of the unknowns.

You've got some options.

I actually really love what I've seen out of the young pieces, especially the young linebackers, guys like Kendall Daniels and Harold Perkins Jr. have looked really, really well in training camp and preseason.

So I think that if they can kind of hold things down to start the season, it'll be fun to see what that defense can look like moving forward, especially from a pass rush standpoint.

And then the run game, I think, will be much improved.

Kendall Daniels, Avion Terrell were in starting positions, the two rookies that were in starting roles for this defense.

You also saw Harold Perkins Jr. as a backup at linebacker.

If you were Harold Perkins or Harold Perkins Jr.'s supporter heading into this situation, seeing him as one of the primary backups for the two linebackers that are starting would basically be a dream.

So I think it speaks to how well he's doing and I think that he will, even though he's not a starter, still get plenty of reps during games in certain situations down in distances.

From what I've heard, we haven't talked to Jeff Ulbrich about this directly, but from what I understand he really is a huge fan of Harold Perkins and especially what he can develop into, so very exciting stuff there, but obviously Kendall Daniels, you know, that's as shocking to me as pretty much anything, not necessarily that he was named starter, because you could see it coming, like with what we saw at training camp, you could see that he was tracking to get to this point, but it was all of that, it was all of that that happened in training camp that was really, really impressive to me, because He missed so much of the summer program leading up to that, the rookie minicamp, the OTAs.
