You need to have THREE captains ready - your guide to Matchweek 3 | Decoding Fantasy WSL podcast

Let's have a look at back at match week two first.

So I've just got it here on my phone.

Someone in the world got 116 points this week, which is very well done.

The average was 61, which is not bad.

It's a decent enough week across the board, not particularly low scoring, not particularly high scoring.

Tom, how did you go on? Because you did a bit above average, didn't you?

Yeah, a little bit above average.

I got

75 points, which,

yeah, it's one of those I'd be happy with, but I made a bit of a silly mistake.

I was playing with the substitutions and I had, going into Sunday, I had Chloe Moustaki and Notting Forest or Saoirse Noonan of Watford to come in and I was like... take over from alexia puteas that's probably a substitution we won't see very often but um i brought in chloe mastaki and uh she didn't play a minute and sasha noonan on my bench scored a goal a lovely glancing header so yeah i've got a lot to learn as well but um it is it's quite fun though the substitutions dynamic but it wasn't so fun for me this weekend

Yeah, I really like the substitutions dynamic and it's because obviously we can change the captains as well.

And that was somewhere that I sort of could have got a few more points this week.

I had 89 points, which I was very happy with.

Although I had Van de Donk as my captain to start with.

She got eight points.

I had Bunny Shaw playing the next day.

I was sort of like, do I change? Do I not? I decided to stick.

Bunny Shaw got five more points than Van de Donk did.

So if I captained her instead, I could have got 10 more points.

I could have been on 99.

I could have been...

I don't know how much higher up the rankings.

I was actually 56th in the world after Saturday's game, so I was really happy.

I dropped down to 187th, which I'm still pretty happy with.
