Ryan, Miles, and Pete go over a recent modern event, talk podcast reviews, and do listener questions
Miles KaneHostPeteHostAll right, let's get into some of the news.
We have a few events coming up.
Around us, there is a Fellowship Cup.
That is the next one that we're going to be able to attend.
That's on Saturday, August 1st in...
So this is a fun take on a two versus two event where you're still playing on separate maps, but you're never going to play against your teammate.
And you play a regular event through Swiss and then progress through Top Cut.
And then I think you still play.
Once you get to Top Cut, then you play against the actual opposing players, A and B, I believe.
I think,
but it's 400 modern and they're not allowing any primes, anything above 200 points or anything with a unique ring.
And then between you and your partner, everything is considered unique.
And the play of like, what is it called? Extreme Highlander.
Yeah.
Yeah.
So this should be a fun event.
I'm teaming up with Ali and then Dan and Looper are teaming up on this.
And it's always interesting to play in an event like this where you don't have to worry about some of the biggest problem pieces.
So you don't have, what, Spot, Kilosium Cap, they're both unique.
Obviously Beetlejuice is gone.
We'll be talking about Null shortly.
So he's 255, so he can't play anything above 200.
So obviously there's going to be new things that kind of rise to the top as the power pieces, but I think it's going to be interesting to actually play in an event where you don't have to worry about a ton of the stuff that you typically would see at any other regional or win a map or something like that.
And then we have Tropical Regionals starting up.
