almost forgot the question because I was just paying so much attention to the little kid
So, yeah, it does feel like growing up as a kid, most of the Bibles I read would talk about it was written to brothers.
It seems like most modern translations have changed that they'll say brothers and sisters.

And a lot, I feel like it's in the Bible, but because it's in the Bible, a lot of pastors in a certain generation especially got kind of used to preaching with brothers.

This sounds like a really easy question, but I actually think there's like a lot of directions we could go.

One thing I actually think we should say first before we talk about the why not sisters is actually just why brothers? Why not people? Why not disciples? Why not believers? And there actually are some translations that because they don't want to say brothers, because it sounds like it's just men, they change it to believers instead of brothers and sisters.
Was there a period where the message that bros instead of brothers? I'm so curious.
