John DukesGuestHe worked a 9:00 to 5:00 at an auto body shop, and in the evenings, he took English as a second language classes.
That pushed him to focus on his studies, and on February 17th, after class, he picked up his mail and stopped at his local bank.
That cold winter evening, he only had $30 in his wallet and was planning to withdraw some cash and pay a bill.
He pulled up to his bank, and at about 9:00 PM, parked his red Toyota Corolla out front and went inside the lobby where the ATM was located.

One woman was walking home from work when the two men in the lobby of the bank caught her attention.
She noticed one was standing at one of the bank machines, but the other man was lying on the floor.
She told herself that it must be someone down on their luck needing to warm up in the lobby.
But that's when she noticed the man on the ground trying to get up, only to be knocked back down by the man at the ATM.
She watched the attacker as he left the bank and got into a small red car before he sped off southbound through several parking lots.
