It's easy for me to criticize, but I try to do it the positive way because I respect too many people in that business.

Because in my time, and you're now talking about 24 years ago, I was president in 2002.

We were trying hard to put up a structure because the board of directors should be doing visionary policy in the future.

And the professional staff should be carrying out those policies on a day-to-day, year-to-year basis.

And I would criticize ourselves a little bit because if you take from the year in the last five years, the board of directors is still dealing with day-to-day operations and policies, including what they're going to do with purse money to the Derby and or the fraternity.

which I would tell you running those events might be getting in the way of promoting the sport.

But you ought to at least be doing an analysis on that scenario with the continued growth.

And I can say that because if you just look at purse money, purse money is moving 20 to 30%.

on a macro level that's a year that's moving really fast which means if you don't have the rest of the things moving with it things are gonna you're gonna have bumps you're gonna have bruises it's gonna come off the tracks you're gonna get lame i use all the analogies i want i don't know how much do you guys know how fast we're actually moving if you look at the last 10 years

talking and not long ago we had a podcast and Tom McCutcheon and then he was saying something about you know not very long ago you went 100,000 during a year and you were in the top 5 now if you went 100,000 well now you're in the top 30 100,000 is at 30 right now Yeah, yeah, that changed fast.
