Yeah, there really isn't.
Emily KonkelGUEST
5:49
You know, there's a few affiliates that are producing some pretty good events within the cowhorse and some independent producers, maybe one or two, but it's a far cry from what's happening in the NRHA and NCHA.
Emily KonkelGUEST

So the members are really reliant on the premier events and there's really no competitors for that.
Emily KonkelGUEST
6:07
So it comes with a different level of pressure when you have to produce those events.

I agree with that.
Jody BrainardHOST
13:58
I think, and just, you know, not being the devil's advocate here, but I trained horses for a really long time and some nice ones.
Jody BrainardHOST
14:04
And now with the incentive, you know, there was NRHA.
Jody BrainardHOST
14:08
First there was NRBC.
Todd CrawfordGUEST
32:03
... owned that mare, or excuse me, stud.
Todd CrawfordGUEST
32:06
And, um, after Brett got done with him as a three-year-old, I got him, you know, and I showed him in the, in the reining, and actually, he was a NRHA world champion in '95.
Bobbi LoranHOST
32:19
Mm-hmm.
Todd CrawfordGUEST
32:20
Uh, open horse.
Bobbi LoranHOST
35:01
Competition is tough.
Todd CrawfordGUEST
35:02
Yep.
Bobbi LoranHOST
35:03
Um, obviously you've done very well in NRCHA and, and NRHA.
Bobbi LoranHOST
35:09
What makes it important to you to continue to compete in AQHA?
Jan DublinGUEST
1:36
So I started judging.
Jan DublinGUEST
1:37
I got my first card in 1998 and it was my NRHA card.
Jan DublinGUEST
1:42
And then slowly a couple of years later, I got my AQHA card, my NRCHA card, and then just kept going with the various breed associations, Appaloosa, Paint, Pinto, Palomino, Buckskin, NSBA, and various stock horse associations now too that the ranch classes are getting sold.
Jan DublinGUEST
2:05
So popular.
Jan DublinGUEST
2:36
It has exploded because Versatility Ranch Horse in AQHA has always existed, but it was never offered anywhere.
Jan DublinGUEST
2:43
And to me, to judge it, you had to be on a special list and, you know, kind of send in your... your qualifications.
Jan DublinGUEST
2:51
Like if you had an NRHA card and a cow horse card and, you know, knew something about the cutting, you just wrote that down in a letter and, and you sent it to AQHA and they put you on the list to judge it.
Jan DublinGUEST
3:00
But I mean, I never judged one before the ranch riding came out.
