So last night, starting with Anthony's show at 8:00 PM Eastern Standard Time, Health and Fitness, the comments started getting a little wild.
And they weren't, I shouldn't say wild, but I was watching, and Anthony's a newer podcaster, and he watches the comments.
And I was like, man, I remember being like that, and, like, the comments from the pirate ship were, like, making fun of his guests and saying, you know, stuff like that.
And it wasn't too crazy, and I texted the boys and said, "Hey, let's calm down in the chats," or something like that.
I said, "Take it easy." And they did, that I know of.
And then Murphy's show comes on at 9:00, and I'm watching it.
It's a phenomenal show.
If you guys haven't watched that yet, you need to go watch Murphy's show last night.
Really good show.
And, um, and then the comments started rolling in, and they were mocking his guest, which I don't know if it matters to anybody, but you know, when somebody like that is on, their family and friends are watching.
So the last thing that I want is my, one of our guests, one of my host's guests going to the guest, or one of their family members going, "While you were on there, the entire fucking comment section was mocking you." That was what went on in my head.
Um, and then, uh, I, I sent out some warnings, but it wasn't quick enough, and then some people decided to start typing some wild stuff in there.
I think out of sheer boredom and maybe some alcohol involved.
I'm not sure.
Not really sure what...
So I hit him for the night, because I was like, I c- I can't stop this stuff.
Like, I'm deleting comments as they were coming in, and then I saw what was happening, and they were, like, coordinating this massive, like, bad comment between two people.
And I said, "Fuck it," and I blocked them both for the night.
And- I was like a little perturbed at first.
So I was like-- I was, I was upset 'cause I'm like, "Man, why, you know, this is our ship.
Why would you sink our ship?" Then after a while, I started thinking about it and I'm like, "This is a pirate ship.
This is counterculture." Um, there's part of me that was like, when I was watching Murphy's show, sometimes I wish we had inside jokes like if Murphy had lost a bet earlier on in the week, at some point he would had to have called, uh, his guest daddy, like you guys were talking about in gaming.
I thought that would be really funny if like we were doing bets throughout the week, and if somebody lost a bet, like, yo, you gotta call your next guest three times in an hour, you have to call him daddy.
You have to like, "Okay, Daddy, so..." And just the amount of inside joke humor that would be would be phenomenal.
But that's my level of like counterculture, you know, in the comments.
