The first one, how can I love others well if I don't love myself? Maybe another way to say this is, don't I have to work on loving myself first before I'm able to receive and give love? Friends, what is so amazing is this is taught as truth.
And so if this is something that you've believed, that you've heard, that you've tried to live by, no shame or blame on you because this has been taught.
How is that possible? How does AI have that kind of discernment? It doesn't.
But apparently there have been enough people who, like me, over the years have tried to shine light and truth into the statement.
And the catchphrase is, if you can't love yourself, how in the hell are you going to love somebody else? This is RuPaul's wisdom.
But even inside the field of psychology, it's not like there was this easily recognizable tenant of love yourself before you can love others.
Now, what's interesting is the internet phrasing of love yourself before you love another.
The AI traced that back to a book by Jane Roberts, came out in 1974, called The Nature of Personal Reality.
And apparently that channeled or became some sort of new age textbook that So that's one source for this concept.
We got a New Age book that started off talking about New Age things and then became a full-blown New Age textbook.
