I got some brutal news.

I feel terrible for Ben Simmons.

You know, a lot of people have derided him, mocked him.

Not us here.

We were Ben supporters.

And I think he was pretty net neutral with whether he was a positive or a negative as a Clippers player for a little bit.

He had that one really good game to start things off against the Utah Jazz.

I thought he played some good defense and got a tough whistle against Jokic in the playoffs in 2025.

Honestly, go back and look at some of those fouls that Jokic got on Ben Simmons.

They're ridiculous.

And for Ben Simmons to be out all of last season and put in the work and trying to get back into the league and trying to rejuvenate his career...

And we just found out a little bit earlier, I think about half hour ago now, from Sham Sharania, like as his documentary is airing on ESPN chronicling his return here, we find out that he's got a torn Achilles, that he suffered at practice.

Ben Simmons.

It's just brutal, man.

Field form and MRI confirmed a season-ending torn right Achilles tendon for Ben Simmons, a devastating turn of events on the eve of his NBA return after rehabilitating from back surgeries.

Needless to say, he will be out, obviously, against the Clippers on Wednesday.

Hope the rehab goes okay.

Mentally, that's got to be very difficult to get back to this point where you're coming back to the league and then it happens again.

Klay Thompson is probably somebody he could reach out to.

You know, he had the ACL.

He's coming back off of that, and then he tears his Achilles and misses two years of his career in his prime.
