But also you've talked several times about treasure hunts being a, a favorite of yours.

And so you were on about Treasure Island.

What do we talk about in that episode and kind of what do you, like, the idea of, like, why you like treasure hunt movies?

I, I wish I had something, like, super insightful to say about treasure hunt, [laughs] but I just think that they're fun.

I think they're fun, escapist.

I think that you don't have to think too hard for w- about them to go on the ride with them.

Um, I think it's a, like, way to get out of your bubble.

Um- And yeah, they're, I, I think they're just kind of comforting in a way of like, they, they are, they can be a bit formulaic or they have certain touchpoints that you expect, but not in a way that I think is boring.

And I, I like seeing those, yeah, those, those motifs or those like, you know, those common touchpoints get, you know, touched on, but also reworked and seeing how they play on them.

And you know, it, it's an action-adventure genre, so those are easy to buy into.

But I think for me, like it's just a brand of action-adventure that I just really like.

It is, yeah, more, more leans adventure.

It's very escapist, a lot of travel, which is fun, great vistas, great locations.

Um, yeah.

Yeah.

It is, the idea of locales are a big thing.

We talked about that a little bit.

Even if it's something like The Goonies, where it's in your own backyard-

Mm-hmm

... it's how do you romanticize that version of your own backyard?

Yeah.

Well, we create this pirate lore, and you're going underground and finding, finding this, this, this cavern full of, uh, uh, full of jewelries and gold and a ship.

And, and Goonies being like the YA treasure hunt film-

Yeah

... like I feel like that capitalizes on or, or taps into the desire for escapism and just like brings it to the max.
