Got to talk about the courtroom scene.

So I wonder if you could talk a little bit, if you'd be willing to talk a little bit about that process.

Okay, first of all, I would like to preface this by saying that Bill Shatner, who had been a Shakespearean actor with Christopher Plummer at the Canadian Shakespeare Festival, He could be a very great actor.

He had it in him, he could do it.

I think he did a lot of television at a certain point.

This is one of the great they-don't-make-them-like-this-anymore movies.

Massive scale, real aircraft, practical effects, and a cast stacked with names like Michael Caine, Laurence Olivier, and Christopher Plummer.

No CGI, no shortcuts, just real planes in the air doing things that frankly feel impossible today.

And yet, for a movie about one of the most pivotal battles of World War II, something doesn't quite land, because for all its spectacle, for all its authenticity, it can feel oddly distant.

I will say, for me, my lasting memory of that production, 'cause you and I saw the same production, was that Christopher Plummer was at our show that season.

And of course, the set was all white marble, so the lights just blasted out the audience, where you could see everybody in the audience.

And Mr. Plummer was front row, off to the side, where we could all see him at Stratford Shakespeare School.
