How to take Jesus to Work

Last week we talked about a theology of work, like what God has to say about this idea of work.

Three big ideas from that message.

Number one, our work is good.

Everybody say good.

Good.

Work is not a punishment, it's part of our original design.

And we came up with this kind of new phrase as a church.

It was fun to kind of see it catch this week.

You've heard of thank God it's Friday, but around here at Highlands, T-G-I-M.

Thank God it's Monday.

Can I get a better amen? And so that's cool.

It's a different perspective is what that really means.

And that is that our work is good.

We actually had a gentleman up in our Huntsville location shout out Rocket City.

He said, I've been working for 60 years.

This is a testimony he shared with our team.

This is the first Monday I have ever enjoyed it.

I mean, that's the heartbeat of that, that different framework.

Our work is good.

Our work is not an accident.

God has you there on purpose.

We'll talk more about that a little bit later today because ultimately our work has eternal value.

And this is a big deal to me that you are called.

And what I do, look at me, church, it's no more spiritual than what you do.

And the impact we can have together is the way God designed all this to work.
