Wisdom to walk in the corridors of power, part one.
All right.
Power is defined as the ability to make things work.
So there are corridors where decisions are made, decisions that will affect the quality of life of other individuals.
While the world system may be full of crowds, those corridors are usually not crowded.
Because the higher you go, the fewer the men you find.
Because the requirement for climbing those heights changes.
Are you following what I'm saying here? And as the requirement changes, the size of men you find drops.
So, it is important we have it at the back of our minds that there are powers that be.
There are powers that make things work.
There are powers that better the quality of our lives.
There are powers that influence the quality, that makes policies that affect the quality of lives of others.
And there are requirements, there are wisdom, godly principles for assessing these corridors.
And it is important we also know that the gatekeepers of those realms are not necessarily believers.
But it does not change the fact that they are gatekeepers.
Are you following what I'm saying now? For instance, somebody needs a job, you are going somewhere for an interview, the people that will interview you are gatekeepers between you and the job that you want.
Their faith is not your business.
Your concern is that you perform up to task and get the required jobs so you can function in the required organization.
Are you following what I'm saying here? The president of the country is not a Christian.
Am I correct? But it does not change the fact that the decisions made from that place affect the quality of life.
We can trace that down to every level of power in the society.
So there are powers that be.
And what we must understand is that God is behind.
