The Faith and Patience of DAVID and Faith of SOLOMON (2)

Proverbs chapter 24 verses 3 and 4.

Through wisdom is a house builded.

And by understanding it is established.

And by knowledge shall the chambers be filled with all precious and pleasant riches.

Within that application.

The New Testament church is called to become a spiritual house.

In which the character, wisdom, glory and power of Christ are manifested.

Solomon built a historical temple.

The believer...

And the corporate church as God's spiritual dwelling are New Testament applications.

The historical building supplies a pattern.

The spiritual fulfillment concerns people being formed together in Christ.

We need wisdom to build.

Not merely enthusiasm.

Not merely money.

Not merely inherited traditions.

not merely supernatural experiences.

We need a hearing heart.

The discernment Solomon requested was demonstrated in his administration of justice, including the well-known dispute between two women concerning a child.

Wisdom was not given merely for private contemplation.

It was given to serve people and execute righteous judgment.

So ask God for wisdom that can carry responsibility.

Ask for wisdom to raise children.

Ask for wisdom to lead without pride.

Ask for wisdom to handle prosperity without corruption.
