Minor League Baseball Complex + DSL Standouts

Let's talk about some of these guys in the complex.

And there's some names that have been breaking out.

And one that we're going to talk about that's already been promoted to single A.

But the rest are still hanging out in the complex, doing a lot of good stuff.

The first one we'll discuss is Franklin Primera.

The Red Sox seemingly have a breakout every year, it seems, on the hitting side of things.

And Primera seems to be it this year.

He was good in the DSL last year, but he didn't have any power.

He hit for average.

He didn't strike out.

And that's remained this year in the complex.

He's got a 207 WRC+.

If I'm not mistaken, it is the top of all complex hitters.

Eight home runs, four stolen bases.

And the slash line is pretty silly, 433, 556, 742.

And it's over 127 plate appearances.

So it's not like we're talking about a couple weeks sample.

So what Premier is doing is pretty crazy.

And the data looks pretty solid on him too.

I'm not sure if you have any thoughts on him, Maurice.

How high are we going on him? I'm updating the ranks.

I'm trying to figure out where in the world is this guy slot? But he's inside my top 200, I know that.

And there's potential maybe to push him a little bit higher just based on what I'm seeing and hopes that it's sustainable.

But what's your thoughts there on Primera?

Yeah, I'm probably going to put him around top 200, that sort of bucket of players, because I want to see what he looks like on video against even single-A pitching, because even the complex pitching is not great.
