Li Ciavola Returns: The Man Behind the Climb

So yeah, Lee, what's new? Actually, let's start with this way.

Anything new since the climb?

Yeah.

You know, I do have some plans for myself in the future.

I think one thing that is notable about finishing Denali is that it was a goal that I had for 10 years or so.

Right.

And sometimes life is a lot more about the chase than the actual victory.

And so I feel like I've lost something.

Yeah.

I feel like I've lost my next big goal.

What is my driving force? I still feel very driven, but I lost a little bit of that direction.

So I do have some things that I'm excited about in the future, but they're projects that are probably two or three years out.

Are you going to do the other summits? You know, I'm not as interested in climbing really high, really dangerous, really notable peaks around the world, but I am really interested in delivering more resources to the Spokane community for outdoor education.

Nice.

That's a mountain in itself.

One thing I'm really interested in is snow.

I really like backcountry skiing and snowboarding, and I think that we have a limited resource pool for avalanche studies here and avalanche training.

Maybe so.

I'm really interested in delivering more avalanche education to the Spokane community.

So that's a couple of your projects out.
