I lived and my career got jump-started by the rock revolution, and so it led to all the early signings, and that's why I got into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame this year.

to the extent that there is now a merging of whether it be rap and heavy metal, whether it be a merger of the spoken word and the rhyming in conjunction with a rock, so that young artists, yes, you find Eminem and Limp Bizkit and you see the rock artists and Red Hot Chili Peppers and they're performing together and they're going out together.

My job is to spot it and to make that person feel very, very comfortable and supported along the way.
