Tune in to the latest Celtic Down Under podcast ⚽️ On this episode, we discuss the following: \* Celtic Are Out Of The League Cup \* Raise Some Uncomfortable Questions \* Preview Our Upcoming…
Yeah, so, um, thanks everyone for tuning in.
I know it's gonna be a bit of an interesting pod.
I'm just waiting for the, uh, all the blue-noses to flood the comments and harass us a bit later on, so that's gonna be fun.
But yeah, we ...
Not the result I was hoping for with the, with the Derby and the League Cup.
Um, yeah, I thought going into the game.
So we're g- as I was saying off air, Shane, we're just gonna, we're just gonna free-wheel.
We're gonna do it a bit different with the whole game thing.
I wanna get more, a bit more into, like, how we're thinking the lead up to the game, and then seeing the starting lineup, and then we'll just go into each individual player's performance and stuff like that, and go from there.
'Cause yeah, there wasn't really a lot to talk about from a Celtic perspective out on the, uh, out on the field from my opinion.
Um, but going into the game, like, I'm looking at this going, "All right.
We should do these guys." We may not have been playing well, like against St.
Johnstone we didn't play that great, but they've been struggling a bit in the league.
They're not, they're not nothing special from what I've seen so far.
I think we've got more than enough talent and players and stuff to get the job done, and that's how I was feeling heading into the game.
I don't know how you were feeling.
Confident.
I mean, there's always a little bit of trepidation when it's a, when it's a Glasgow derby.
You just don't know how exactly it's gonna unfold.
There's all these elements that, that contribute just, just a little bit of, you know, hesitancy.
But in terms of, you know, the players that we had on the park and who we had on the bench and the way we've been playing recently, particularly in the league, I thought, "No, we've got enough, and we've got what it takes, um, to go and get, um, go and get a positive result there." So I was still relatively confident irrespective of the normal sort of, um, Glasgow, Glasgow derby feelings really.
Yeah.
So with that, 'cause it was at their place, it was, it was one of them where i- I'd, I thought if they were gonna win, it'd be the sort where they'd bank, bag an early goal and then Derek McInnes would just park the bus.
That's how I thought they would win this game, because our transition from defense to attack has been ripping teams to shreds this, so far this season.
Yeah, so, um, thanks everyone for tuning in.
