We have a little bit of polling that I'll keep referencing here and there from Leger and this other outfit called Canada Pulse Insights that I've never heard of, neither of which I'm super confident in.

I like Leger as a pollster, but we're talking about a poll of 1,000 people across Metro where...

In Vancouver, they got 320, but like they took a Coquitlam poll and there was 92 samples in there, weighted.

So we're talking margins of error of up to 10%, assuming they got a good random sample.

So with the left's consolidation around green candidate Pete Fry, William Azaroff dropping off for one city, Stephanie Allen dropping off for Cope, It seems like it's fries to lose, but it is still turnout can really decide things in local elections.

And Ken Sims banking on his stupid referenda to torque the right voters to the polls for him to try to hold on for another four years.

speaking of those referendum vote no on them they're bad like a very cynical ploy to drive people to the polls i think that like the people who are going to vote for colleen hardwick are going to vote for colleen hardwick for the people for whom ken sim has been too left-wing i don't know that we can reach them and i don't know where we'd pull them if we did I do want to say a token of thanks to a stalwart of this podcast over the years, Rebecca Bly, whose campaign is not going to win.

I'm sorry, Rebecca, but has been bold in her stances on things and has done things that we agree with and many things that we disagree with over the years.

So thanks, Rebecca, for everything that you've done over the years as you presumably exit the political stage in public life in Vancouver for at least the coming couple of years.

And it's remaining to be seen how Kareem Alam does with the Vancouver Liberals.

I think his Most likely outcome is he steals enough votes from Sim that Fry pulls like the progressive vote together the way Kennedy Stewart did in elections past.

Well, I don't want to say that it's exactly what we hope for for a candidate, because hoping what happened to Kennedy Stewart happens to Vancouver again isn't necessarily what we want.
