We might jump into the, uh, second game chronologically that involved the Queensland side, Adam.

An own goal from James Newnham, the goalkeeper, and a nice goal from Mitch Hodge just after the hour giving li- giving Lions a 2-0 win.

And I think the most remarkable part about this is not the fact they beat A-League sides back-to-back.

A very smooth performance from Lions FC in almost complete control against a, a good Melbourne City side.
I did say, I s- I said to, uh, to yourself, uh, and, uh, also James, who had the pleasure of us joining us in the box, uh, last night that I felt the first goal was gonna be the key to the game.
And Melbourne City did come out, tried to sort of, sort of get that early lead and then perhaps maybe control the game.
And after a calamitous almost, "What in the hell happened?" moment where, uh, where Kurt Leechi's, uh, what seemingly harmless back pass went through Newnham's legs and then...
And it's almost like he panicked, and he's kicked the ball in the back of his own net.
And then from there, I don't think Melbourne City put a meaningful shot on in, in the ref- for the rest of the game.
Yeah, it's, it's quite bizarre that I think that it felt like Melbourne City, they only had one plan, and when that went out the window, uh, they didn't, really didn't respond.

Kurt, is that like you saw as well, that City had a couple of chances in that first 20 minutes, but after that Lions just really got a hold of the game and really just never let up?

And for, for Melbourne City, they had, l- like you said, a couple of, couple of chances there too to, to really take control of the tie.

From when those p- those opportunities did pass, there really wasn't a, a shot in anger there fro- from Melbourne City, which is...

Oh, I thought it was actually pretty disappointing, but also how in the manner that they played, I thought it was actually a little disrespectful to, to Lions in the end.
I don't, I don't wanna make accusations as such, but, uh, it was very, very weird, especially in the second half.
