And if there's a hole in your jeans or a hole in something, you put one stitch in it as soon as you see it rather than leave it.

And later on down the line, there's going to be more pain and more toil at a later date.

Rosie and I were watching a documentary recently about a guy called Stockton Rush.

And he started a company called Ocean Gate and they specialised in taking people down who would pay a crazy amount of money, take them underneath the sea in this submarine that he had to go and explore at 400 metres plus down in the sea.

And his particular interest was taking people down to see where the Titanic landed and to see the wreck down there.

And you might remember in 2023, on one of these deep dives to see the Titanic, it disappeared.

But what this documentary showed was that Stockton Rush is the CEO of this company to make this submersible and take people down.

But what it showed was that there was loads of corners that this guy cut in the design and in the time frame to go down and see the Titanic.

frame because it was going to be less heavy and so it's easier to transport and it was going to save money but carbon fiber although it's lighter it doesn't bend it just cracks and so not ideal for being under pressure And then he ignored advice about even getting this submersible, this Titan submersible certified by an independent maritime authority.

Many of them left and many of them he fired because he didn't like what he was hearing.

And on previous dives, this one was astounding, on previous dives where they'd taken this submarine down, They put microphones everywhere to listen for the carbon fibre cracking.

And the noises of the cracking were many and substantial, and yet he still largely ignored it.

And instead of cancelling this trip going down in 2023, which was the first one of the season...

Instead of cancelling it, the fears of the engineers and the mechanics were realised and the whole thing caved in.
