I wrote in mine.

I wrote something, something Titan submersible.

Yeah.

Which we will come back to because I wrote a lot of notes in mine about Stockton Rush because this is the first time we've watched it since the Titan submersible has happened.

And then we see, what is his actual name? You said, I always forget Rian Johnson is in this, which is not his name.

It was only once the Soviet Union collapsed that this information was leaked, so the real question is, if this really was something more sinister going on, would we ever know? I'll leave that up to you.

Speaking of sea-based head-scratchers, that brings us to the infamous case of the Titan submersible.

At around 9:00 AM on June 18th, 2023, the 22-foot long, five-person sub, operated by American tourism company OceanGate, was launched from the Canadian vessel Polar Prince.

The submersible was descending down to the Titanic, allowing those on board to get a view of the wreck.

An hour and 45 minutes into the dive, while at a depth over 12,000 feet down, the Titan sub lost contact with the Polar Prince.

Then, when the Titan sub failed to resurface at its allotted time of 4:30 PM, panic started to grow as search and rescue efforts began.

Sadly, days later, the wrecked Titan was discovered by a robotic deep-sea vessel on the sea floor of the North Atlantic.

A few hours after the Titan submerged, a US Navy acoustic detection system identified an acoustic signal consistent with an implosion.

I look at that game and I go, "That would be a programming exercise I could do in grad school with this level of graphics, and it all being math and coordinate based and speed based." But the game came out in 2022.

It didn't, shall I say, explode on the scene until 2023 when the Titan submersible became all the rage in the news.

[laughs]

And then people decided, "Hey, there's a video game that's similar about a submarine going down where it shouldn't.

And if you're not careful, you're going to die in it."

They probably used the same controller for the Titan-

[laughs]

... that they do to play this game.

Remember that thing?

Oh, God.

The Titanic thing? [laughs]

No.

Is that what it's called?

It was, uh, the Titanic thing.

That's amusing.

They were looking...

I mean, there are so many examples I could give, but the one that sticks out right now is when we were building the site, we'd ordered this hyperbaric oxygen chamber, which, as you will have seen, is a kind of real beast of a machine.

It looks like a time machine or potentially a little bit like the Titan Submersible, but not the best comparisons, much safer.

But it comes in segments.

We'd ordered it.

Crafting the perfect curves for our fondling hands.

Did you know that the Titan submarine that imploded looking for the Titanic a couple years back, that thing was actually piloted with a game controller? Clearly those guys understood the value of the technology.

If not that of human life.
