The Republican Party has changed dramatically since you were first elected back in 1994.

And, you know, on the debate stage last night, everybody was like, I agree 100 percent with the president.

I said, well, I agree most of the time, about 90 percent of you pull my voting record.

I mean, I love my brothers and sister, but I don't agree with 90 percent of it.

And so I think it's important if you're going to have local representation, you know, the Bible says you can't serve two masters.

You can't say I'm going to just serve a Washington perspective 100 percent of the time, because at times that Washington perspective may be different than what we want as South Carolinians.

then you need to occasionally disagree with Washington, D.C., and we should embrace that diversity of different opinions as opposed to saying that doesn't fit.

I mean, I think that, you know, a lot of people are frustrated with us being back in the Middle East and sort of the ongoing operations there.
