How close are the Celtics getting to trading Jaylen Brown and acquiring Giannis? Dan Greenberg joins the show to share his thoughts on if and when this blockbuster deal could go down! #Celtics…
Dan GreenbergGuestHostHostCo-HostHostI just reported the Celtics are not dangling Jalen like, okay, any deal, we're giving up Jalen, no problem.
No, I don't think they want to trade Jalen.
I think they feel like they might have to to facilitate it if they want Giannis that badly, if they feel like he's going to make them a championship team.
And at this point, that's quite debatable as to whether they'll be better with Giannis and not Jalen because you still got the same other guys around you, right? You still got the same roster.
So you still got to do some tweaks to the roster.
It's not just plug and play.
So, to me, of course, I trust Brass even in trying to pull out the best deal, but I don't think they're dangling Jalen like he can be had, no problem.
