And of course, with the opening of the free agency window, there's been a few players, uh, changing teams.

Mm.

And, um, one of course for us, which has been a long time in the making, is the man with the, uh, what would you call it, the cornrows? Is that the, uh, the, the, the style of hair that he's got? Of course, Giolamati.

Not, can't be sure.

Uh, Atush, being a, a man of color, am I allowed to say cornrows? [laughs] Let me know if I'm, if I'm out of place here, but I'm pretty sure they're called cornrows.

I think Brodie Grundy had them once, and he got criticized because it's-

Yeah, he did

... it's a, it's a hairstyle that is associated with like, you know, African Americans and stuff like that.

Um, which is just the way of the world and just the way things have gone, which is quite hilarious.

Um, but let me just pull up on screen, of course, the official confirmation of that man I'm referring to in Giolamati.

So he has officially joined us, and thankfully off the back of this, which I was kind of worried about.

You know, we've been speaking about the, the, the, the sum of money that he was getting every single year over the, the five-year deal that we were offering him.

And thankfully, it wasn't tipped over the scales of, of 1 million per year, which was incorrectly reported, and a lot of wires crossed there.

Because that would've, um, triggered a band one compensation from Sydney you would've thought, and would've pushed our pick back further, which is what we went through, uh, a couple of livestreams ago when we went through the ramifications of Cody Walker and matching bids and everything else.

So they-

Yeah

... have received a second round compensation pick, currently number 36, which is good.

So doesn't stuff us up in terms of our early picks and, um, you know, draft, what is it, draft points, um, being pushed back.

So that's a bit of a, um, uh, a positive coming out of things as well.

But, uh, yeah, officially has joined the team.

Thoughts?

Yes.

Officially joined the team, and I think we've all kind of come around to it too.

I feel like we at the start were like, "What are we doing?" But I think now we've kind of come full circle and come around to it.

So it'll be interesting to see how he sort of fits into the team and what ki- he can kind of add in our forward line, um, and sup- in supporting Harry and Kempy and, um, Gove even, like how that kind of dynamic will work.
