I get the impression that the only way they'd make a change is if it was gonna be a, almost like a Marlon Pickett-like situation where someone in the VFL just plays so well for Box Hill they can't ignore them.

Because they do have that one spot in their team which is theoretically up for grabs, which had been Ned Reeves's spot as the second ruck, but now is Max Beattie Um, who is actually an amazing story.

Um, plucked out of the VFL, and he injured his ankle in his debut for Box Hill a- after basically a quarter.

He did his syndesmosis and missed six weeks.

I don't think that there's any room for him in this Hawthorne team, though, ahead of a prelim final.

And we talk about Freo's injury list this year, Gerard, and how clean it's been almost... for the entire season Hawthorne has one player of their best 23 who won't play in the prelim final and that's Connor Nash who's out for the rest of the year with that neck injury so they've got almost a full book to choose from so Mitch Lewis is fine he trained fully yesterday there was some concerns around his shoulder that's not an issue Ned Reeves has a larynx issue.

He didn't play in the VFL, but he's expected to be fit for VFL or AFL this week.

I think more likely VFL given two rucks hasn't necessarily been something that Sam Mitchell has done, but nevertheless, he should be fit for the VFL grand final.

May-maybe a couple, couple less.

Their midfield is gonna be, you know, Ned Reeves, um, Henry Huswaite, McGuinness, I think, and Ollie Greaves.

Um, all of them have played at AFL level, all of them have played some decent football at AFL level, much like what our starting midfield is gonna do as well.

So it's gonna be a, a, you know, essentially a, a, an old school AFL seconds game.

It would have to be pretty good.
