It w- it was a lot of fun and, and Carl, um, look, Miami is not gonna be a good football team this year, but-

... that doesn't mean anything.

You still have to perform.

No one felt bad for the Giants, Carl, wh- when the Giants struggle and the Giants went and they dominated a team in practice.

They've got more talent.

They dominated them in the football game.

But, um, when you take a look at the competition, what are some of the things that really jumped out at you as far as the defense was concerned?

Um, wow.

It, it, just the effort, Bob, and I, and I said it when we wrapped up the, uh, broadcast.

Um, the Giants brand is physicality.

That is their brand.

Um, they, make no mistake about it, there's no ambiguity.

Their brand is physicality, defensively and offensively.

But the things that really stood out to me, the defensive backfield play.

I couldn't be happier that this man has found his happy, happy place within this scheme.

Um, last year it was what it was.

And it, you know, and I, and I said all off season and even during the season that I would be shocked if a kid with his skill set would allow his career to be minimized and reduced to that of a punt and kick returner.

I said he had too much talent, and I just, I just, I just felt like he wasn't gonna settle to where he was last year.

Now, I, you know, I hear a lot of thing, things were going on with him.

Be that as it may, we didn't know and I can't speak on it.

But I can speak on how he played last year and how he's playing this year.
