Bob Papa, two-time Super Bowl champion Carl Banks, as the Giants play their first pre-season game, wound up losing to Minnesota 13 to 10.
And Carl, uh, we're gonna go over kinda what we saw yesterday at MetLife Stadium doing the telecast and I think my takeaway from all this is some as expected, right?
There were some things that clearly have to improve and, um, you know, I'm just wa- you know, watching the game and then looking at the game again last night, um, you could see the emphasis is on wanting to run the ball.
And, um, you know, it's gonna be interesting to see how this team develops because I think some guys stepped forward and I think there were guys that take, took steps back.
Um, wow, let's, you know, let's talk about the, the offense, right? I think, um, we were all anxious to see Cam Skattebo back in there, Tracy back in there, um, and Jackson Dart, right? Offensive line-wise, they played their starting offensive line with the exception of one player.
They had some success, um, but I don't think it was what they needed, um, in terms of average per carry.
Um, I'm not sure where they landed, but it wasn't, it wasn't very high, maybe right around four yards.
Gray kind of, you know, listen, um, he, 2.5. Um, Miller 2.8. You know, Tracy two carries for five yards, 2.5. Um, Singletary three carries for a yard, so no, the number was not, not what they were looking for in game last night.
