Everyone's a Critic: Stadium Edition

It is interesting.

Uh, m- I do this every year a- and I still fall for it every year.

It's like that first pre-season game.

Now look, by pre-season standards, that Hall of Fame game was a banger.

[chuckles] I mean-

Yeah

...

Arizona and Carolina put on a show.

Carson Beck, I was not the biggest Carson Beck guy in college, but I mean, he, he's got the tools.

It, it, we're not, this is not a Carson Beck show.

[laughs]

Um, but every year, without fail, it's like you look forward to Bill's training camp, right? And then like two or three practices in, like y- I can't get enough of Twitter, what's going on? Oh, i- is Skyler Bell working with the first team? Ooh, what's Caleb Alarm-Zord doing? And then by about four or five practices in, I'm still following it, but I'm not like waking up thinking about it.

I'm really just waking up thinking, "Oh my God, uh, the re- uh, Commanders lost their starting left tackle.

Please, Bills, don't get anybody hurt today.

Oh my God, uh, what's going on in San Francisco? Is their field really a catastrophe? Don't lose anybody today, Bills." Like that, just survive and advance.

And I, I don't really care about like, oh, Joshua Palmer had a big day.

Um, and then the first pre-season game is kind of like, okay, you hit the reset button.

It's like, yeah, I get to see the team play now.

And then that first pre-season game happens, you get a couple drives into it and you're like, [sighs] "Yeah, this is, uh, this is something." A- and you like watching the new players, but also, again, like just don't get anybody hurt.

And, and then you, you j- it's just the build-up for the, the regular season.
